What not to eat after methotrexate shot?

I had my first ectopic pregnancy. Very much scary! I am still a little sad and can’t really seem to grasp what happened to my little guppie up in there. Though it’s okay… it’s just wasn’t the time…

I’m wondering. I know you can’t eat bananas, but can you eat banana pudding but W/O the bananas?

This is an amazing site. Thank you.

I wasn’t told not to eat anything, when I suggested a beige diet they laughed and said the amount from food really wouldn’t be a concern and the MTX would do what it was supposed to.

I honestly wouldn’t worry too much.

I hope you’re ok, it’s a rough process to go through xx

I have just found this threat though if you did want to support the MTX with your diet:

Dear Jazysha,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss.

We don’t ordinarily advise to avoid foods, just those fortified with folic acid or naturally high in it. I would take foods in moderation. I’m not sure what banana pudding is, but again, I would suggest you are safe to say it in moderation.

When we experience ectopic pregnancy we are suddenly faced with a life threatening emergency and it’s treatment, reduction in fertility, concerns about the future and the loss of our babies. Experiencing any one of these is an ordeal, putting them together is immense and your feelings are completely normal. Be kind to yourself and allow time to grieve and heal both physically and emotionally.

We will be here for you for as long as you need,

Sending much love
