Currently waiting for an ectopic pregnancy to resolve (under hospital care) and everything is going well so far (well, as well as this heartbreaking situation can) but we are planning on trying again later this year and reading through the forums here I keep seeing people talking about a ‘dye test’ . What is this dye test? What’s it for and when would you be given it? Thanks
Hi Lolly,
It’s a way that they can see whether there is any scarring/damage to your tubes. I don’t think it’s routinely offered unless there are ongoing concerns about fertility.
Dear lolly2481,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
As Stephy has mentioned, in the UK women aren’t routinely offered testing following ectopic pregnancy. The test you mention is Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) test. We have more information here under Testing.
