Good morning,
Just over a week ago I had heavy period bleeding for 4 days at about 4+4 weeks pregnant. I suspected a miscarriage.
I went for a scan at about 4+6 and they saw a thin lining of 4.5mm and no sac or fluid in the uterus or tubes. They suspected MC but did bloods to be safe. They came back as:
HCG 397
Progesterone 29.5
48 hours later they were
HCG 450
Progesterone 19
Another 48 hours later
HCG 675
Progesterone 23
Scanned again and no change from the previous scan.
I’m booked in for bloods tomorrow which will be a further 48 hours. Am I unrealistic to hope they will have dropped and I may not need intervention? And does this mean its definitely ectopic or could it still be a failed pregnancy? EPU won’t tell me much they just say they don’t know. They said my lining isn’t typical of an ectopic but they can’t rule it out. Currently it’s being treated as a PUL. Two months prior to this I had a blighted ovum at 8 weeks - could it be this again? The thought of treatments terrifies me I can’t sleep thinking about the possibility of it being ectopic. I’ve never hoped for a miscarriage more in my life despite having two miscarriages previously.
Any support or shared experiences would be much appreciated. Sorry if any of this is triggering for anyone x
