Hi ladies, after suffering an ectopic in December and having right tube removed, we’ve been trying now for 4 months but no luck yet. Having a low day and wondering if its ever going to happen. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you ectopic? Did you take anything to help? Any tests I should think about asking for? Surgeon said left tube looked good during surgery.

It took us 7 months of trying after the ectopic and having lost a tube. That was after only taking a month and then two months the first two times I got pregnant. Honestly, it felt like forever, but looking back, I guess we were pretty lucky to get pregnant within a year.
I started tracking ovulation after a few months, first with the kits, then by body temperature. I was doing that more so I’d have information to take with me if I had to go to a fertility specialist. Luckily, I got pregnant before I came to that.
It can take longer after ectopic, for sure. But it does still happen for a lot of women. Good luck!
I had an ectopic and tube removal in April 2015. Started trying in September 2015. Finally got a positive pregnancy test 5 weeks ago! So it took me almost a year. I know exactly how you feel, it’s so frustrating. You live your life on 2 week cycles. The last month of trying I bought an ovulation kit which showed I was ovulating around day 18 of the cycle - so later than expected. I do wonder if doing this test was the answer all along and whether I would have conceived sooner if I’d done the ovulation testing sooner. But a lot of the info out there says not to focus on ovulation etc and to relax and let it happen naturally! If I ever try to get pregnant in the future, I’ll be doing ovulation tests from the start! Don’t lose hope, I know plenty ladies who experienced ectopic and got pregnant later. Including myself. I lost my right tube in June, got pregnant in August. I’m holding my 3 months old baby as I’m typing.
I found period tracker app really helpful plus ev. Primrose oil capsules available in all pharmacies OTC. Best of luck, it will happen 
I had a ruptured ectopic in November last year so lost my left tube, I’m now 11 weeks pregnant. I went back on the pill straight after the ectopic (it was my first pregnancy so was very anxious about trying again) then it took us 3-4 months after stopping the pill again
Am presently suffering from thesame thing having sleepless night. Had Ep in may 2015 lost one of my tube can’t remember which one but I started trying to get pregnant In march 2016 since den d results have been nagative . need advice on what to do!
Don’t give up 052… I’m so sorry to hear of ur loss n that it’s taken u a while to conceive again. The plus side is ur body is having more time to get back to normal n to have a break n more time to heal from all u have been through.
I had a miscarriage at 11 wks in October 2014 and I waited for 2 cycles after to concieve n 5 months later I had an ectopic preg/ miscarriage at 7 wks pregnant in March 2015. I was expectant managed for this. With both pregnancies I had concieved quickly in like a months time.
I tried to convieve a 3rd time n like urself didn’t get preg straight away. I even went to the docs to look into having tests done to see if something was wrong with me… I was lucky to not need the tests as I was already preg n didn’t know it.
So the 3rd time it took me about 7 months to get preg.
I am now 36 wks and 1 day preg.
So please don’t give up… it can still happen for u too.
I have read how after suffering an ectopic preg it can take up to 18 months to concieve again n u still have a good chance of a healthy preg so don’t give up n if u still worried go docs. But im sure it will happen naturally for u.
I feel it took a while for me the 3rd time coz I was a bit obsessed with ttc at right time wen I thought I was ovulating n the more I focused on it the longer it took. So try to relax I know is easier said than done n don’t just ttc at ur ovulation time so hopefully ul be more relaxed about it n I do believe it will happen for u very soon.

Sorry… my previous msg is also for 03081016. Im very sorry for ur loss n think u still have a good chance to conceive naturally. Don’t give up n go to ur docs if you have concerns. It can take up to 18 months to conceive naturally after an ectopic pregnancy. It took me 7 months n now I have my 3rd time lucky healthy preg at 36 wks.
Don’t give up it can happen for u too. Im sending you lots a baby dust n positive vibes. The min you know ur preg ring epu at hospital to book for an early scan. U had mine at 6 wks and 2 days preg to put ur mind at ease n I made a doctor Appointment straight away n was advised to start taking folic acid which I did by taking pregnacare which contains folic acid. I took it until I was 12 wks ( u can take pregnacare throughout pregnancy but I stopped at 12 wks as it was making my morning sickness worse.

I am new to this site and I also had an ectopic pregnancy which was found in March. We have also been trying for 3 months now and no go. I have such low days too so I know exactly how you feel. My tube still hurts on and off all the time. Ectopics are so unique! I don’t know anyone else who has had an ectopic so I decided to join this forum as I am having a sad day. I love reading about those who have had an ectopic pregnancy as their first pregnancy and are now pregnant. It gives me hope! All we can do is keep trying and hope. I wish you allll the best and will continue to hope for us all trying after such heartbreak!
Hi ladies I am new to this site. It’s nice to hear some positives! I had a miscarriage in October last year then went on to have an ectopic in April and lost my right tube and ovary. It took me 5 months to conceive again unfortunately I am going through another miscarriage and loosing hope for the future. I’m not going to give up but feel frustrated at the fact these things can not be explained. So you certainly can conceive with one tube some take longer that others. Reading your posts gives me hope. I suffered a miscarriage at 11 wks preg in October 14 and 5 months later I suffered an ectopic/ miscarriage at 7 wks preg in March 15. It took me 7 months to conceive again n finally 3rd time lucky im expecting my baby girl in 3 days until I am due.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I had an ectopic end October 2015 which ruptured and resulted in surgery with left tube removed. I got my first period 6 weeks later. Drs gave me all clear to start ttc again right away (we had been trying for 12 months before ectopic although was pregnant with the EP for the last 2 months of that without knowing because never missed a period and had no symptoms until pain and bleeding of rupture).
Because we had been trying for so long I had already started using ovulation tests (my cycles are also a little irregular).
Once ttc again I continued to use the ovulation tests and we were lucky enough to fall pregnant after my first cycle. I now have a beautiful 6 week old baby girl.
I highly recommend the ovulation kits because we don’t all ovulate at the 14 day mark. We didn’t obsess about it but just to give us an idea of the ideal times for conceiving.

Ladies, thank you so much for posting replies. I can’t tell you how uplifting they are on some of those dark days. What everyone’s been through is incredibly tough and I’m learning to keep ploughing on! OV kits were such a great suggestion, thank you. Turns out I was OVing on day 16/17 of a 26 day cycle so was way out. Also heard great things about Evening Primrose Oil, I’ll give anything a go, lol

Glad the ov kits helped I know they worked for me (my ov was way out too) and hopefully they will help you get that much wanted BFP soon!
Just stay positive, I can say that after going through a loss and not understanding why, when i looked into each of my baby’s eyes I realized it’s because I was suppose to have these exact babies and couldn’t imagine it any other way. Like the universe had a plan for me!
Make sure you take your folic acid or here we have a special pregnancy multivitamin which they recommend you take even when ttc.
