i am having crazy times. Trying to stay positive but bad thoughts kreeping in.
I had an ectopic last september on my left side which resulted in the removal of my tube i had some very sad times.
We have been trying again and i am now pregnant! i should be 5-7 weeks (my periods are very irregular) but last Tuesday i went to A&E because im having pains on my right side, where my healthy tube is, I wasn’t bleeding, pregnancy test showed faint line, blood test showed hcg around 150. They sent me for another blood test on Thursday, hcg showed 350, and they said its good! Test this morning showed a bright line and I am having another blood test tomorrow. i am so scared, i have been having cramps and pains but my main concern is throbbing like pain on the side opposite my ectopic. The rest of my symptoms sounds good: tender breasts, eating a lot, urinating more frequently, no bleeding. But this pulsating pain is driving me mad. What could it be? I know pains are normal, but i dont want it to be too late.
I am scared to have another ectopic.
Did anyone had pains around healthy side and went on to have healthy munchkins?
Thank a lot beforehand, i never knew it will be so hard
I had my ectopic last august… Got pregnant October and I too had all the pains your experiencing, the throbbing pain on good side it ached like mad I was certain it was ectopic again. I’m now 35 weeks so it all was perfectly normal! I think after what wev been through we are hyper sensitive to our bodies and feel every niggle! I still get pains every now and then too it’s just scar tissue etc and a bit of paranoia… Make sure you get all your scans etc they will scan at 6 weeks and please keep me updated iv got my fingers crossed for you xx
Having pain on the good side is not necessarily bad. I had those pains at the start of my currently healthy pregnancy so don’t panic yet! It could just be the implantation or stretching pain which is normal. It’s hard not to worry but just keep hoping for the best and don’t expect the worst. You still have a good chance of a healthy pregnancy
Congratulations on your pregnancy, i too had pains on same side as ectopic and other sid when i was 5 weeks pregnant and was terrified! i went to A&E expecting the worst but everything was fine. Midwife said that pains in early pregnancy are very common, its In your uterus thickening and stretching. In my case it turned out to be a UTI and constipation because i was too scared to go to the loo!
I’m now 32 weeks pregnant with a wee boy!
Try not to worry too much, (easier said than done i know!)
Your blood results are good so far and no bleeding is a very good sign!
Dont fret too much about how bright or dark lines are on HPT’s, i did that and the nurses were killing themselves laughing saying it doesnt work like that. I also used to myself mad about pregnancy symptoms, like if my boobs weren’t sore one day i was convinced it was all over and if i didnt feel sick i was convinced of the worst too. Again at the EPU they said it’s normal for these things to come and go, pregnancy after an EP is an emotional rollercoaster. I still have days when im convinced it will all go wrong.
You’re not alone, there is lots of support from so many ladies on here who can 100% understand what you are going through.
Great news! you must be very relieved. im sure the scan will be even more reassuring to see your baby in there. I saw mine a few weeks ago with a heartbeat, so cool. Congrats I’m glad things are looking good for you.
