Shoulder pain after 2 months

Hey has anyone experienced shoulder pain after their surgery?

My shoulder has started to pain.

I had the shoulder tipping pain after the surgery it was so strong…

Now I have the pain it’s mild but can feel the pain :frowning:

Dear Sonia,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and continued discomfort.

Shoulder tip pain can be common post surgery but usually settles quite quickly. Sadly I am not medically trained so would always advise discussing any continued pain with your GP.

Taking regular over the counter pain relief and noting if this helps will also give you GP ideas of how to best to manage your pain.

Sending much love,

Karen x

Thank you, I went to the GP she said it’s common after surgery as I’m stressed it makes it worse … just have to take painkillers. Thank you.

Hi,

I am 3 months post surgery - left fallopian tube removed. I have been experiencing shoulder pain this past week and I still haven’t had a period post surgery (I’m not pregnant as we are waiting until after my first period). Did this pain settle? I’ve got a GP appointment on Friday but it’s really worrying me now.

Dear Daisy,

You can experience shoulder pain for many reasons, I would advise taking over the counter pain relief per pack instructions to see if this helps settle the pain,. Gentle heat can also be helpful.

It can be normal for periods to take time to return and to settle into a pattern that is more normal for us. It is good to hear that you have an appointment to discuss your symptoms with a doctor and hopefully this will put your mind at ease a little.

Sending much love,

Karen x
