Some may think this is a little personal but I just want to know the stats for the cause of an ectopic pregnancy.
just bad luck maybe. Other tube appeared fine at lap and had straight forward pregnancy prior to ep.

I had no risk factors at all. My baby just got stuck in the wrong place.

I probably one of the lucky ones who has a reason, most people unfortunately don’t. My tube was kinked right at the end, they would’ve saved the tube if it was usable but said it was too risky for trying again.

That’s one of the things makes it so frustrating!
I am assuming mine is unknown. I have had a c-section before and I read that abdominal surgery could cause one but I am not sure it is that.
Possibly appendicitus but can’t be 100% certain. I’ve had a normal pregnancy before my ectopic x
My first one was unknown, but had c section few years before. Second one, I believe is because I fell in the stats of it happening again. If that makes sense!

unknown, but i had had csection nearly 2 years before,
and as it was my right tube someone said it could be cos of scarring from inflammation of appendix,
and also i did not wait ttc following a mc at 9 weeks, and though everyone tells me this is not linked, i will always have to wonder x

mine was because on previous abdo surgery and adhesions were linked to my right tube, my first pregnancy must have come down my left one…

Damaged tube from appendix op. I can remember the surgeon saying they had “caught” my tube but everything would be ok. I never gave that a thought until the EP.
I can’t be sure but I think my EP may have been due to having a IUD fitted. I used to have awful pains while it was fitted so think it may have damaged something inside, but also when I look at my dates it seems to suggest I may have been pregnant a couple of weeks before I had the IUD removed.
No known reason. Seems to have just got stuck in the tube.

I 100% believe mine was due to the contraceptive injection depo. I had 2 normal pregnancies, used depo for 3 months, decided to try for a third baby and that’s where all the problems started. It took me 3 years to get pregnant them all I have had since is ep after ep, If I could sue them I would!!!
I too was on Depo. I only had one shot in June of last year. I didn’t get my period for a few months the once in Oct then bleed fron Dec to Jan, then got normal period in Feb. Got pg in early March found out it was ectopic and truly wondered why. I was diagnosed with chlamydia in Dec but my husband was negative so up until I had the ep we figured it was a mis diagonsis. Seemed to be the only conclusion because we both were faithful. Now after the ep I was very unsure of that whole thing. Now that you have told me this, it gives me some reassurance.
Mine was unknown, they took swab’s and i had some internal’s before been given the meth injection and all my result’s came back clear. I came off pill on 19th October and we started trying for a baby on 2nd November, i’ve often thought maybe we tryed too soon after i finished my pill and maybe that caused my ep. Who know’s!!!
My DS was born by crash c-section 2 years before my EP. After my EP surgery they told me that my right side was badly scarred and there were adhesions from the c-section, and that is probably what caused it.
