Hi looking for some advice please attended a scan today at 6 weeks but was dated to be 5+2days, they could not locate the pregnancy apart from seeing a tiny sac on my c section scar but they wouldn’t confirm this as being the pregnancy took bloods waiting for results and repeat scan in a weeks time, im so scared as I’ve had 2 previous ectopics plus and uterine rupture in my last pregnancy anybody had anything like this thankyou
Hi Cloej,
I know how worrying this time can be. I, too, suffered two ectopics, the second one in the stump of the first and also very traumatic. The waiting in early pregnancy is particularly difficult as we seek some certainty of what will come. You are doing everything correctly to get your scan booked in and connect to the early pregnancy services.
Many of us are anxious as we ttc and in future pregnancies. Please know that you are not alone. As difficult as it is, taking things slowly right now and focusing on what is at hand versus what might come can be helpful. The time will pass, and your scan will be here soon. Hopefully, providing some reassurance.
Please be mindful of your symptoms during this early pregnancy time. I took solace in knowing that the medical support was there for me, no matter what would come. The other thing I just wanted to say is that ectopic recovery sometimes takes longer than we think it will. If you and your partner need extra time, please take it. These are traumatic events, and new pregnancies can trigger old feelings. With this in mind, please remember we are here for you whenever you need us.
With good wishes,
Michele
