Pregnant and shouldn’t be

So where do I begin. I had an ectopic pregnancy the end of August last year and my tube removed. I was told that I wouldn’t get pregnant again due to my remaining tube being blocked.

However, I had a weird “period” last week, 2 days long very light and some slight cramping. Which is very unusual for me. The past 3 days I’ve been extremely nauseas/vomiting, aversion to some smells. I have done a test today and low & behold there was a very faint positive.

Coincidentally I’ve got an appointment next week with the miscarriage nurse, should I try and bring this forward? Do I wait? Am I going to have another ectopic?

I’m now in a state of upset and panic in case the worst happens again

Edit; I’ve been on the pill since The beginning of September

Dear Bexx,

I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.

I would suggest speaking to your GP or medical team to discuss having some blood tests and an early pregnancy scan. Although I do not wish to alarm you, I do need to remind you to seek urgent medical advice with any bleeding or pain or you feel dizzy and unwell.

To reassure you, becoming pregnant while on the pill, it does not harm your baby or increase the risk of birth defects or miscarriage.

I hope you have some answers soon,

Sending much love,

Karen x
