Pelvic Floor After Surgery

I am 4 days post laproscopic surgery. I was reading EPT’s surgical management leaflet. It mentioned that pelvic floor exercises may help bladder and abdominal tone during recovery.

I was wondering if anyone had any more information on that? How to do the pelvic floor exercises?

Thanks

-Kianna

Hey Kianna,

In the U.K. we have this pelvic floor app by the NHS it’s like £2 and it’s really good. It sets you the task to do the exercises twice a day, first it’s long hold for 30 seconds and rest for 30 seconds, repeat 10 times (you basically squeeze every time the hot air balloon rising and then let go as it falls) and then you do 10 1 sec quick squeezes! Do that together twice a day. It’s helped me wonders!! I assume there’s something similar out there in the US… alternatively maybe YouTube has something to follow!

Hi Kianna,

Here is some information on pelvic floor exercises which I hope helps
