No pregnancy symptoms, worried its another ectopic.

Hi,

So I had an ectopic in February and was treated with mtx so i still have my tube.

Now i am pregnant again and am 4+6 and am very worried that this is another ectopic pregnancy, 1 because I am pretty sure that I ovulated from my ectopic side as I had quite bad pain the morning after a peak ovulation test so I am worried it has got stuck there again.

2 another reason for feeling it maybe another ep is because i have no pregnancy symptoms other than my boobs are sore if I touch them which I never had pregnancy symptoms with my previous ectopic.

I already have children and had pregnancy symptoms even before i had missed my period but this time again, nothing so I don’t feel this is very reassuring.

As I still have my tube I feel like theys a big chance if ovulated from that side it would of got stuck again just like last time.

I just don’t know how to get through to my scan date :sleepy:

Dear Naomi,

I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.

I truly understand how worrying this time is. I too bad literally no pregnancy symptoms with my pregnancy after my ectopic and was convinced I was having another, but it was successful.

I wish I had a time machine to magic away the next 2 weeks until a scan (don’t forget to contact your early pregnancy unit to organise a scan at 6 weeks). In the UK it is not routine to offer any other tests such as blood tests to see how hCG bloods are rising as in their own, they only show part of a picture, location on scan is needed to ensure it has implanted in the uterus.

Try to your yourself busy, reading, box sets, meeting friends and family. Sadly I do have to remind you to seek urgent medical advice with any bleeding or tummy pain or you feel dizzy and unwell.

Sending much love and positive thoughts,

Karen x
