Currently week 4 of Methotrexate and levels have just slightly risen for the first time since the injection. Risen from 41-49 in 10 days.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Totally stressing out now.

Dear LucieLu,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
We do sometimes hear of levels that plateau before reducing again. I am unsure as to.why you’re have risen a little bit they are low so hopefully this shouldn’t cause too much of an issue and I hope to see them reducing at your next blood test.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Just wondering when the ectopic is almost resolved is there normally any indication that this could be happening? Like pain, etc.
thanks
Dear Lucielu,
There are no obvious signs sadly. In the UK, women and people aren’t routinely screened following methotrexate or expectant management, so we don’t know for sure an average length of time it takes for the ectopic pregnancy to be absorbed.
We do advise to wait until your hCG levels have reduced to pre pregnancy levels and then take folic acid supplements for 12 weeks before trying to conceive, and this seems to also give time for any masses to be absorbed and the body to get back into a normal rhythm.
I hope you had positive news last week,
Sending much love,
Karen x
