I had my 1st shot of mtx on May 31st. My hcg was in the 500s and ectopic was confirmed in my left tube. Started dropping day 7 and the next 2 draws, then stalled at 175 so I got another shot in mid-June, 3 weeks after the first. Numbers dropped slooowly after that, but I was at 9 last week after getting what I thought/hoped was my period the week before. I thought for sure I’d be under 5 this week. However yesterday, exactly 2 months since my diagnosis and first shot, my numbers went up to 11! I am so frustrated. Why won’t this just go away?! My doctor isn’t really concerned and is just having me come back for another draw next week. Anyone else have this happen so close to the end?

I am so sorry to hear that your levels haven’t dropped as expected. I am presuming that a new pregnancy has been exluded as your levels are rising?
I know this is frustrating, but your Drs will be able to advise on best treatment with discussion with you.
