Is there any truth that following having an IUD you’re more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy?

The IUD or IUS doesn’t itself cause an ectopic pregnancy, but in the unlikely event that you become pregnant with this method of contraception, there is more risk of it being an ectopic pregnancy.
