I need words of encouragement, I am still hyper aware and stressed.

I started bleeding August 2nd, and on the 9th I took a test, it was positive, since I’d been bleeding i went straight to the er because I have had an ectopic in the past. My hcg was around 1100, it got to 1500, then started dropping. 900, 600, 300 then 180, ive been on expectant management but haven’t had a scan for a couple weeks, when they did scan me, they saw a hint of something in right tube but it was very faint i guess? So then we did the expectant management and so it was last week I had hit 180… but I’ve been living in fear, I never stopped working during this which has been really stressful somehow. I’ve had some mild cramping, that has been inconsistent. Right now I dont have any pain and am doing another hcg on Tuesday. I just wanted to ask the board, if my tube ruptured and I was bleeding internally, would I know? Because I have this fear I won’t know at all or feel anything. I have been feeling weak ish, the bleeding went on for a whole month and there was tissue and etc. It started as a coffee grounds consistency and then turned into pinkish slime almost, with red too and tissues, it subsided the day before yesterday and now I’ve jjst had spotting today. I just want to know anyones opinion on this, and if maybe I am looking to be ok. I do feel out of it, but don’t really have pain. If I do its been very short lived. Would I know if I was bleeding internally ?

Dear Ashylou66,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,

Most women are generally quite unwell when they start bleeding internally. They may experience worsening pain and bleeding, shoulder tip pain or feel dizzy and unwell, so most ladies are aware.

I understand what a worrying time this is but it is reassuring that your hCG levels are decreasing.

If you are concerned about any symptoms, please do seek medical advice and we advise that you do not do any heavy lifting or strenuous exercise whilst your levels are decreasing.

Sending much love,

Karen x

Thank you, well I did hcg today but I also took a home test which was negative. I am looking up, bleeding has stopped entirely.
