Good News after 2 Ectopics!

Hi Ladies

For those who don’t know my story, I had my son, naturally with no issues in 2015. in Nov 2016 I had my R) tube removed due to ectopic. In June 2017 I had another ectopic in my left tube, which was treated with methotrexate. This ectopic crushed me and it took me 6 months to get my mental health back to a good space. I was devastated. We had just consulted with a fertility doctor who recommended IVF and were due to start this later this year! Now, after 3 months of trying naturally we found out that we are pregnant again. Had the agonising 2 week wait for early scan at EPAS which just confirmed that the pregnancy is in the uterus. I am in utter disbelief as I was convinced it would be another ectopic. I am almost 6 weeks pregnant. I just wanted to share this news as I trawled this forum for months after my second ectopic, seeking hope. i hop this news brings some hope to others. Although its still early days I am cautiously hopeful and just ecstatic that my remaining tube/ovary did its thing. I also wanted to share that I worked with a Chinese doctor to help regulate my cycles, acupuncture to reduce inflammation and a gamete of other natural remedies. I had been seeing her for 4 months and she helped also get rid of ovulation pain and shorten my menstrual cycle. She was a game changer and I highly recommend anyone to explore this avenue. Personally, I needed to explore natural remedies before IVF as I felt there was a missing piece of the puzzle. I will keep you all updated as things progress. I am truely grateful for this forum. Its given me a space to go to, sometimes just to read other peoples stories and has helped me feel less alone. Wishing you all the best of luck and light in your journeys. xxxx

Hello Everyone

I said I would provide an update and I just wish it was a positive outcome. Unfortunately I miscarried at 9.5 weeks. This seems particularly cruel after implanting in the right place and heartbeat seen at 6w 1days. I’m doing ok- at least I know it can be done after 2 ectopics. Think a little time off TTC is in order for us.

Happy to answer any questions you may have. Wishing you all the best of luck. xxx

Dear 2ectopicsandcounting,

I am truly so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. It is just heartbreaking to hear this and my heart truly goes out to you.

Please be kind to yourself and allow time to grieve, to heal both physically and emotionally.

We will of course be here for you for as long as you need.

Sending much love and warm comforting hugs,

Love,

Karen x
