Any Success Stories After Ectopic?

Hi Krista,

Not a success story but looks like we have been through the same thing today. I literally don’t know how to feel right now I just want to cry and cry. This was our 3rd pregnancy after two miscarriages and I’m just so scared it’s never going to happen for us. I really need to hear a success story also!

Emily

My levels were 445 then went down to 360 and I was told it was miscarrying naturally but then they went up to 575. I had the methotrexate yesterday around 15:30 hours, got another test Friday and then Monday to see how the levels are going down. My bleeding has got considerably worse but I wonder if that’s because I was pulled about so much these last few days with spectrums internal scans and so on. It’s been awful.

I cried so much yesterday but today I’m holding it together quite well. I’m going to see if I can have some bereavement counselling because it is a loss and my third pregnancy loss now.

How are you feeling today? X

Ah Krista, I’m in England in Norfolk. I don’t know if I can put your number in WhatsApp or something if not my email address is emilypockers@gmail.com xxx

Dear KristaC3620,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,

I personally had methotrexate for my first pregnancy which was sadly ectopic, I then went on to have two successful pregnancies, so I hope this gives you some hope.

Personally I was shocked at how tired I felt after the injection and my pain and bleeding increased about a week after it (I would always advise speaking to a health professional if any pain or bleeding increases)

We have more information on methotrexate which includes how you may feel after it here-

Again, I must reiterate for anyone else following this thread that in the UK, women aren’t routinely offered testing after ectopic pregnancy as there is sadly no test that will guarantee we won’t experience ectopic pregnancy again.

We have more information here under the heading Testing

Sending much love,
