4 Ectopic Pregnancies and 1 MC but wont give up

Hi Everyone

It is a long time since ive been on this board. Just to give you a brief history I have had 5 Ectopics pregnancies and 1 MC.

1st EP - 1995 - they removed half of my right tube

1MC - 2000 - MC at approx 10 wks

2nd EP - 2005 - In stump of previously removed tube (STUMP WAS SUPPOSE TO BE REMOVED BUT WASNT)

3rd EP - 2007 - Unknown location treated with Meth

4th EP - 2009 - Unknown location again treated with Meth.

In 2010 i requested the lap and dye test to check my remaining tube. During this it was discoved that my previous stump was still there and was never removed when it was suppose to be in 2005. This was then removed completely and adhesions removed and my remaining tube was perfect.

After this stump was removed i was unable to get pregnant. Tried femara and clomid over the years but they caused terrible ovulation cysts so i was taken off them and we took a break from it all in 2013 for a year.

I went for another Laparoscopy this year and adhesions removed, but unfortunately my ‘good tube’ is now badly damaged from adhesions.

Our only hope now is IVF which we have our first appointment for in January. I am 39 next November so i am hoping it works first round.

Sorry this post is so long winded, i just have nooooo idea what to expect with IVF. My main concern at the moment is will i need to go through more surgery to have my damaged tube removed before they will start IVF? Also i am 5 stone overweight since i quit smoking last year, will this be a problem?

Thank in advance ladies
