Hey ladies I just wanted to ask a question, had surgery 2 weeks ago so not expecting nothing yet but when did your period return to normal please x
My period returned 6 weeks after surgery. My cycles have been perfectly normal snd regular since then.
Dear Dems,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
Your periods can take a while to re-establish - they can re-start anything between two and ten weeks after surgery and most women find that their period arrives sometime around week six or seven after surgery.
The first period may be more painful or less so than usual, heavier or lighter, last for longer or shorter than usual – there really is no set pattern. You should be able to manage the discomfort with over-the-counter pain relief and should not be soaking a pad in less than an hour. If this is not the case, you should seek medical attention. It can take quite a few cycles for periods to return to a pattern that is more normal for us.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Around 4 weeks I think. Periods have been regular since but very light. And not healthy ones. Alot of brown, thick stuff. I pressume I am being cleared out gradually. I hope that’s what it is anyway. I am 38 with no children and worry about this all the time.
