Pain in two week wait

Hi,

I don’t even know if I’m pregnant yet, I’m currently just in my 2 week wait. But for the past 3 days I’ve been getting aches/twinges/pain in mostly my left side where I had my tube removed, but also niggles on my right side and some vaginal/bowel pressure. Has anyone else experienced this?

The pain is just reminding me of my experience in august and I’m so scared it’s happening again.

I had an ultrasound a couple of months ago and it showed a dominant follicle on my right ovary, which they said should go away in my cycle. I’m feeling hopeless that it’s never going to happen/I’m going to go through another loss.

Thankyou

Daisy

Hi Daisy,

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this worrying time. While I’m not medically qualified to comment on your specific situation, I wanted to provide some thoughts. Suffering an ectopic pregnancy can increase our awareness of sensations in future pregnancies and can bring up emotions from the trauma we’ve experienced. It is normal that we might be more aware of sensations like ovulation and even feel the scar tissue from our surgeries.

As you are concerned, it would be valuable to follow up with your GP. You have had previous conversations about the dominant follicle, and it is reasonable to follow up on that conversation.

Please know that we are also here for you throughout this journey and for as long as you need.

With good wishes,

Michele
