Any success stories where the first pregnancy was ectopic

Looking forward for success stories where the first pregnancy was ectopic but further pregnancies were successful  . Please share your experiences.

I gave birth 3 months ago to a beautiful healthy baby girl. My first pregnancy was ectopic and i had my right fallopian tube removed in dec 2018.

I spent the majority of the second pregnancy learning to trust my body again and ended up being able to have the natural delivery i dreamed of

Thanks Shoshanaj for sharing your positive story. All such stories give us hope , which is most required at this point. Loads of good wishes for the little angel.

Hello, my second was ectopic rupture resulting in left tube removal, two months after I was pregnant and now I’m 18 weeks with healthy pregnancy:) have faith babe xx

First month we decided to try for a baby I got pregnant straight away - this turned out to be ectopic.

Had methotrexate & surgery.

We waited the recommended 3 months.

Took 5 months & I fell pregnant. I thought it would never happen.

My baby is now 18 months.

Don’t give up

X

So lovely to hear these positive stories. How long did people wait to conceive after their surgery and how long did it take to conceive. I am 4 weeks post surgery and desperate to start TTC again. I don’t know anyone who has been through this personally so it’s so refreshing to hear from others who we can relate to  x

YES 2 ectopic … one tube removed and one badly scarred found out I’m pregnant yesterday and little one in the right place ! Bloody miracle

Congratulations Kayjayleo, that’s amazing news! Very happy for you! How long did it take you to conceive? Xx

I went on the pill as we were saving for ivf … came off the pill February due to headaches and feel pregnant that month!! Total accident with a condom… think I’m still in shock x

I had given up hope and come to terms with my fertility status and now I’m like omg ? Is tia actually serious x

Kayjayleo that’s amazing news!! How exciting for you!! Hope you have a healthy and safe pregnancy!! Keep us updated!! x

In October 2018 I suffered an ectopic pregnancy resulting it emergency surgery to remove my right tube. I was totally traumatised by the whole event and thinking my fertility was affected.

The following April I fell pregnant again and gave birth to a very healthy baby boy in January 2020 with a very straight forward pregnancy. I only had to try for 4 months to fall pregnant again, with only one tube. They also think I ovulated from the side which I don’t have a tube. So if you take away anything form this post, it is that there is still much hope and light at the end of a dark tunnel. It was just bad luck. I recall after it mindlessly scrolling through websites and forms trying to find an answer for why it happened. I used to blame myself. In the end I just had to accept it was bad luck and there was no real reason for it. It doesn’t mean you can’t carry a healthy baby to full term.

Chin up and positive thoughts for the future. Love to you in this sad period: it will pass. Xoxo

Hi All,

I just had my first pregnancy and an eptopic surgery on Saturday, doctors took away my fetus at 12 weeks and removed my left tube:cry:. I’m still startled and very depressed at how everything happened so swiftly. One minute you’re making plans for a new life and the next minute the baby is gone. The past few days has been truly devastating.

Just wanted to say that This has been the first post that made me smile since and gave me some kind of hope. Thanks for the encouraging words & reassuring that all is not lost and pregnancy is still possible.

I am sure your second post will be soon of your healthy pregnancy announcement:)
