2 ectopics in a row- lost both tubes. IVF?

Hi, so after a ruptured ectopic at the start of November when I lost my left tube, I fell pregnant again in January. Unfortunately this was ectopic as well and as they couldn’t confirm it until quite late on I lost this tube too. My only option to have another baby is now IVF. Has anyone else been in this situation? Thanks.

hi there. I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through. I’m currently starting this process after my second ectopic in January. Its all quite new to me but happy to answer any questions you have.

Hi yes I have had 3 ectopic pregnancy they had to remove my tubes I did try fr ivf but was very scared some thing could happen I no longer wanted to go through it all again x

Hi there,

I’m currently in the same situation as you. I had an ectopic ending in tube removal last January and literally last week had the same thing happen again. Now my only option for a future pregnancy is IVF.

It’s hard, isn’t it? I never thought I would have to do IVF and right now, while I’m 5 days post-surgery, the thought of going through all the treatment, let alone an actual pregnancy and birth, just feels exhausting. On the other hand, am I ready to give up? I have a sneaky feeling that I’m only managing to get through this ectopic with a smile on my face is because I still have this option open to me.

So haven’t been through it, but going through it, and if you need to talk or rant, just let me know.
