Hi all,
I had an EP just under 4 years ago and had a salpingectomy to remove my right tube. The doctors said everything looked ok and my other tube looked fine.
But recently my periods have gotten very painful, to the point where I can’t even go to work and I have been unable to conceive for a year (although haven’t actively been trying but have been off BC).
I am waiting to see my GP about it all but just curious to see if there is anyone who has developed Endometrosis after a tube removal? Could it be scar tissue or something from my EP be causing painful periods after 4 years?
Any advice would be appreciated xx
Dear KimB21515,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
As far as I am aware there isn’t a link between ectopic pregnancy causing endometriosis.
I have added a link regarding endometriosis here however I am glad to hear that you are seeking advice from a medical professional.

Sending much love,
