Hi, I’m 9 days post surgery for a ruptured ectopic. Had no idea it was ectopic until i felt it rupture. When should I start taking conception vitamins again?

I am sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy and difficult time. While I am not a doctor and can’t give personal medical advice, I will do my best to help with your question with some general information.
Following surgical treatment for ectopic pregnancy where the Fallopian tube has been removed, it is possible start to take conception vitamins when ready to do so although it is worth checking with your doctors whether there is anything specific in your circumstances. Generally, there isn’t the timeframe to wait regarding folic acid as there is for methotrexate treatment as surgical treatment and recovery is different to medical management.
I hope you don’t mind my mentioning that, after surgical treatment, doctors usually advise waiting for at least two proper periods or three months before trying to conceive again. This is to allow time for physical and emotional healing and you can read more here:
