Shooting pains in hip 5 weeks pregnant

Hi,

I’m currently 5+1 after having an ectopic and my right tube removed in December. Last night I started getting shooting pains in my left hip, and it feels like a dull ache in my left thigh too. Has anyone had this and everything turned out to be ok? Absolutely petrified that this may be another ectopic in my remaining tube :frowning: I have a scan booked with the EPU next Monday when I’ll be 6+2 but that feels like forever away with this anxiety.

Hey I’m 9 weeks and had my tube removed late January - I didn’t have shooting pain in my hip but an ache as ligaments become loose I did have a thigh numbness similar to when I had my ectopic which was scary but ectopic ruled out - it’s really hard isn’t it to not feel something and panic I still do. All the best going forward x

Thanks for your reply that’s reassuring! I had a scan today at EPU but it’s too early to tell anything, the waiting is actual torture

It wasn’t ectopic but I did find out I’m having a miscarriage  apparently it’s nothing to do with the ectopic just bad luck

Dear LTQKVS,

I am so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. You are right in that your ectopic pregnancy would not have affected this at all. Sadly 1in5 pregnancies and in miscarriage, so it is more common than we realise.

There is excellent support by the miscarriage association, but if course we will be here to support you too

Dear Abbiegrace,

I am.sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.

If your pain worsens or you develop any bleeding, shoulder tip pain or feel dizzy and unwell, please seek urgent medical advice. I will be sending positive thoughts for your next scan,

Sending much love to you both,

Karen x

Hi Abby,

Do you have any update? This is almost exactly what I’m going through now and I am terrified.

I’m so sorry I’ve only just seen this for some reason, it turned out to be nothing, currently 8.5 weeks and it’s in the right place. Hope it was all ok for you too x

Dear Abbie,

Congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you so much for taking the time to update us, it will bring comfort to so many.

Wishing you a smooth remainder of your pregnancy,

Sending much love,
