Hi. After 3 weeks of scans and uncertainties it was confirmed I’m having a scar etopic. Waiting for the specialist to contact me to see what happens next.
After research all I find is how rare it is and about ruptures etc which has just made me feel so scared with the waiting around.
I’m hoping that after finding this forum, people may be able to share there story with me if they have had a scare topic as it feels like I’m alone and just would like to know how it was for others and what to expect. Thank you.
Dear nade,
I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.
You are right, caesarean section scar ectopic pregnancies are rare and due to the complexity are managed by specialist teams. I hope you get some more answers from your specialist soon. Most people are referred to regional specialists who really do have the expertise to advise you. We support people experiencing C section scar ectopic pregnancies and will be with you every step of the way.
We also have email and telephone support if you would prefer a more one to one approach (Details below). We will simply be here for you however you wish.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Hi Nade-93,
Just wanted to say I’ve also recently had a scar ectopic pregnancy, which I chose to terminate in November. It has been so hard. The fact that all the available info on scar pregnancy always emphasizes how rare it is makes you feel even more alone. I’ve been pouring though journal articles on it trying to learn as much as I can. How are you getting on?
