Pain with expectant management

Diagnosed ectopic pregnancy at 7 weeks. Now at 9 weeks 6 days. My HCG at 30 and getting more bloods done today. I have experienced two seperate days of intense pain down low and on one side. Was told to take paracetamol and ibruprofen, which did help but I’m confused why I’m getting such intense pain with such low HCG levels. The cramping is followed by some blood, not a lot. I’m an absolute nervous wreck and I thought I’d have less pain towards the end not more!
Has anyone experienced this?

Dear Holly,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss.
Whilst it is common to have pain and bleeding following ectopic pregnancy, we would always suggest to trust your gut instinct and seek medical advice for further review if you are concerned. Never be worried that you are seeking advice again. If the pain worsens or you feel dizzy and unwell, please seek urgent medical advice.
Best wishes,
Karen x
