Ectopic aftermath

It’s been 13 weeks since I had the surgery to remove my ectopic pregnancy and fallopian tubes, but I just had labs done yesterday and my levels are at 37. Why is it take so long to go down to 5 and below? Has anyone had this experience? Is there anything I can do on my end to lower these numbers?

Dear Brielle,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss.
It can take a while for levels to reduce, especially if they were high. I am sorry but we do not provide medical advice and i am not sure why your levels are taking so long to reduce. I presume the trend is going down though.
I would advise speaking to your medical team for further advice.
Sending much love,
Karen
